Sonic Connectors has an immediate opening for a Machinist 4 CNC Lathe & Mill in Midland, Texas.

A Machinist 4 CNC Lathe & Mill will be responsible for manufacturing electrical feed through products, ESP accessories, production equipment, and tubing head adapters. Our state-of-the-art machine shop includes CNC turning and machining centers.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinist 4 CNC Lathe & Mill to join our manufacturing team. As a Machinist 4 CNC Lathe & Mill , you will play a crucial role in programming and optimizing computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, machining techniques, and attention to detail will contribute to the efficient and accurate production of high-quality products. Responsibilities:

Set up, program, and operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.

Read and interpret detailed blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical work orders.

Conduct machine tooling and fixturing setup, ensuring proper calibration and alignment.

Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.

Perform quality inspections using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) to ensure parts meet specifications.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to minimize downtime.

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Document production activity and report any issues or deviations to supervision.

Collaborate with team members to optimize processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or relevant education in CNC programming is preferred.

Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, with a strong understanding of CNC machine operations and programming languages (G-code, M-code, etc.).

Proficiency in using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, GibbsCAM, etc.) to generate CNC programs.

In-depth knowledge of machining techniques, tooling selection, and cutting parameters to achieve optimal results.

Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications with strong attention to detail.

Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

Familiarity with various CNC machine types (mills, lathes, routers, etc.) and their capabilities.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve programming or machining issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.

Adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements

Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment

Previous experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a CNC shop

Familiarity with ISO quality standards

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict quality control procedures

3+ years wellhead experience preferred

Ability to lift 75 lbs with no restrictions
