78 CNC Machinist
Sonic Connectors has an immediate opening for a Machinist in Midland, Texas.
A Machinist will be responsible for manufacturing electrical feed through products, ESP accessories, pro-duction equipment, and tubing head adapters. Our state-of-the-art machine shop includes CNC turning and machining centers. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company that offers good benefits and competitive base pay.
2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Machinist 2 is responsible for setting up, and operation of machinery such as lathes, mills, and CNC equipment to machine metallic and nonmetallic work pieces by performing the necessary steps according to drawings to produce equipment for ESP and com-ponents.
Specific responsibilities may include:
• Machine Safety
• Intro to CNC Machine Tools
• Basic machine operation
• Comprehension of job packet (travel doc)
• Parts Inspection using Dimensional Tools
• Other duties as assigned
3.0 REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
• High school diploma preferred.
EXPERIENCE
• Experience working in an Oil and Gas Industry preferred.
• Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Basic knowledge and understanding of basic shop protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Organize inventory and communicate with management when low.
4.0 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
• Sitting, bending, standing, walking, 8-10 hours per day.
• Able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
5.0 OTHERS
• Attention to detail.
• Produces error-free work.
