Sonic Connectors has immediate openings for Maintenance Technicians located in Midland, Texas.

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely and responsibly diagnosing, conducting repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles but mostly trailers. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company that offers good benefits and competitive base pay.

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance including but not limited to mechanics changing oil, checking, and refilling vehicle fluids, replacing filters and windshield wiper blades, rotating tires, and performing general vehicle diagnostics

• "Light" unit repair on light and medium duty vehicles including but not limited to battery services, brakes, starters, belts, hoses, and tire installation

• Light duty repairs on trailers

• Change and repair tires

• Must know how to use hand tools and power tools

• Must be able to tell whether an engine or another car part is damaged by observing it

• Be able to work on units and on your feet all day

• Always perform all assigned work in a safe and conscientious manner as per safety standards

• Create and maintains vehicle history and maintenance reports

• Manage parts inventory and equipment provided on a service unit

• Collaborate with Operations team to establish and maintain good working relationships

• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Requirements

Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment

Ensure maintenance and repairs are made to company vehicle

Maintain all required safety and professional certifications

Maintain company vehicle with necessary tools and equipment to perform service jobs

Qualifications

2+ years automotive repair experience preferred

Ability to lift 75 lbs with no restrictions

Excellent communication skills required - written & verbal

Mechanical aptitude, good driving record, basic computer skills

High school diploma or GED preferred

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations

Be willing and able to work away from home for extended periods of time

Must be available for 24 hours on call duty

Pay rate based is on experience
